What is Sukha Living
What is Sukha?
Sukha is the Sanskrit word for happiness, ease, or bliss.
Quite literally it is defined as “Good Space”.
This is what we desire to offer our clients.
Our goal is to create a good space to help each client identify what they want to achieve, working together to minimize the variables so the experience is one of ease, and even enjoyment.
Welcome to Sukha Living,
a boutique real estate company, where the focus is on customizing each experience for the greatest level of service.
We take great pleasure in guiding people through the real estate process with as much ease and enjoyment as possible. We bring a holistic approach, focusing on a full assessment of what’s happening for our client and what they want to accomplish; not just on the single action of closing a transaction. Alongside understanding our client’s concerns and stressors, it’s important to us to understand their aspirations and what brings them joy. There are so many elements in a real estate transaction and we want to empower people to make the best decisions for themselves.
Hello my name is Shana
I moved from Ohio to Boise, Idaho in 1995 where I finished High School and then went to Boise State to get a degree in Wildlife Biology. Through college I worked in restaurants, and went into management when I graduated.
At 25 I was in a position to buy my first home and after completing the process, thought “Well that was fun.” I am service oriented to my core, and real estate felt very similar to waiting tables, just filling bigger orders, as it’s truly all about customer service.
Right out the gate my mentor gave me a piece of advice I rely on to this day – “If you take care of people, they will take care of you.” That is what real estate is all about for me - doing my very best to take optimal care of my clients, to simplify this often confusing process, and to be a guide in helping people achieve their goals.
A real estate transaction is rarely just a financial one. It can be very emotional, overwhelming and often touches on some hot button topics – finances, relationships, communication, dreams, and the very primal need of shelter. Where I thrive is in my role of creating ease for my clients, as well as all those involved in the process.
I’ve never seen myself as a sales person. In fact, the first personality test I took when I got into real estate, said I was not fit for sales. It was disheartening at first, but then I realized it’s not sales, but customer service, that I’m fit for.
I now have 20 years of being a Realtor and 100% of my business is repeat clients, or referrals from friends and clients. I think my focus as a guide and my attention to value-added services is what gives people the confidence to refer me, and to work with me over and over again. I feel very fortunate to still love what I do and to be in a position to help navigate people through an ever-changing environment.
